Eagle Mountain City is anticipating a vacant City Council seat.
An official notice of vacancy will be posted on Jan. 1, 2026. Community members interested in being considered will have until 5 p.m. on Jan. 14 to submit a letter of interest via email at recorder@eaglemountain.gov, or in person at 1650 Stagecoach Run.
Applicants may include as much information as they feel is helpful, such as a Resume or simply their name and statement of interest.
The Council will hold applicant interviews on Thursday, Jan. 15 at 5 p.m. in an open and public meeting, with a final decision expected that evening.
Eagle Mountain was excited to celebrate the Grand Opening of the new McDonald’s in City Center yesterday. We’re excited to have them as part of the community!

Eagle Mountain residents are invited to a Farewell Open House honoring Mayor Tom Westmoreland and Councilmember Donna Burnham, who are finishing their terms on the Eagle Mountain City Council.
The Open House will be held Thurs., Dec. 18 in the City Council Chambers at City Hall from 4-5:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

Eagle Mountain City Engineers are working with UDOT and UTA to construct a Park & Ride along Pony Express Pwky near Ridley`s. On this month`s "The Road Ahead," Engineer Bryce McRae walks us through the project, anticipated to begin construction in late spring/early summer 2026.

The City’s Mortgage Assistance Program offers up to $25,000 in forgivable, interest-free loans to help first-time homebuyers with their down payment and closing costs.
Applications are now reviewed monthly, so you don’t have to wait for an annual window. Anyone can apply, but public-sector employees (like teachers, firefighters, and city staff) receive priority consideration.

Looking to dispose of fallen leaves? Bag the Leaf is still underway!
Now through Dec. 19, residents can drop off bagged leaves daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at either of the following locations:
• Eagle Mountain Rodeo Grounds – 4550 Lehi Fairfield Road
• Silverlake Amphitheater – 7896 Silverlake Parkway
Free leaf bags are available Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., at:
• Public Works Department – 2565 N. Pony Express Parkway
• City Hall – 1650 Stagecoach Run
• Building Department – 3726 E. Campus Drive
We would like to remind residents that the dumpsters are for leaves only, not regular household trash or other items. Residents can visit City Hall to pick up two free dump passes per year to dispose of these items. Thank you for your help in keeping Eagle Mountain beautiful!
Eagle Mountain youth can kick off 2026 a little early with our fun Noon Year’s Eve Party! Enjoy an interactive story, a festive photo op, dancing, and a big countdown to noon.
Ages 0–9: Meet in the City Council Chambers
Ages 10–18: Meet in the Library Program Room
This is a ticketed event. Tickets can be picked up at the Library front desk one hour before the program begins. Tickets are first-come, first-served.
