Eagle Mountain residents can drop off their real Christmas trees at the Eagle Mountain Rodeo Grounds through Jan. 30.
Real Christmas trees only. Please remove all lights, decorations, and tree stands prior to disposal.

The Eagle Mountain City Council convened a special meeting this evening to fill a two-year council vacancy.
Following candidate interviews and an anonymous vote, the City Council voted to appoint Zachory Huish to the vacant seat. Council member Huish took the oath of office immediately following the meeting. He will serve through Dec. 2028.
Members of the existing City Council expressed their gratitude to each candidate for their willingness to serve the community.

A special City Council meeting will be held tonight, Jan. 15 at 5 p.m. to fill a two-year vacancy on the City Council.
Members of the Eagle Mountain City Council will interview candidates and vote to fill the vacancy in an open and public meeting.
Following the vote, the new council member will be sworn into office, to serve on the Council through Dec. 2028.
The candidates will be interviewed in the following order, according to the Master Ballot Position List:
A. Jill Jones
B. Jay Johnson
C. Josh Klausmeier
D. Brent Strong
E. Mandy Lane
F. Benjamin Perez
G. Zachory Huish
H. Charlotte Ducos

Eagle Mountain City is in the process of adding a second 4-million gallon water tank. On this month`s "The Road Ahead," Engineer Bryce McRae teaches us what the construction process looks like for the well, expected to be completed in 2027.
Today is the last day to submit an application to fill a vacancy on the Eagle Mountain City Council.

The application must be signed, notarized, and dropped off at the Eagle Mountain City Recorder`s Office (1650 Stagecoach Run). by 4 p.m. on Jan. 14, 2025. City Recorders can act as notaries, if needed.
The Eagle Mountain City Council will interview candidates, deliberate and vote during an open and public meeting on Thursday, Jan. 15 at 5 p.m.
