Borrowing Materials

Bring in a valid ID (driver’s license, state ID, etc.) and proof of residence in Eagle Mountain. Fill out a Library Card application at the library or fill out an online application. A library card or state-issued photo identification is required in order to check out library materials. Your library card is a preferred identification for your library account. If you lose your card or if it’s stolen, please notify the library as soon as possible. A replacement can be issued at no charge.

Computer & Internet Use

The Library provides eight internet-accessible computers for public use, equipped with Microsoft Office, Family Search, printing, and other resources. Additionally, the library offers Wi-Fi for residents who prefer to use their personal devices on-site.  

Copies & Printing

We offer printing services from public computers and wireless printing, along with access to a copier, fax machine, and scan-to-email services.  

• Black and White Copies: $0.10 / per page 
• Color Copies: $0.25 / per page  
• Fax: $1.00 / per 10 pages 
• Scan: $1.00 / per 10 pages 

Wireless Printing

There is access to wireless printing through our library email. To submit documents for printing from your personal device, send an email to library@eaglemountain.gov with the following information. 

• Add printing instructions to the email, for example ‘1 black and white copy’ 
• Verify that the correct document has been attached before sending 
•  Put ‘Print’ in the email subject line 

Items emailed for wireless printing are not printed until you come into the library to pay and collect the print job. 

Additional Services

Meeting Rooms/Study Areas

Our library provides a small, enclosed work and study area with a maximum occupancy of six people. No reservations are necessary since this area operates on a first-come, first-served basis. 

Outreach

Our library connects with local schools by offering outreach programs that support students’ learning. We also welcome school groups for fun field trips, where they can explore our resources and take part in activities. To schedule a local school visit, email us at: libraryprogramming@eaglemountain.gov. If you’d like to bring your class to the library for a field trip, fill out the form below.  

Book Bundles

Are you looking for a new stack of books to read but don’t have the time to come in and browse our shelves? Submit a book bundle request and one of our staff members will hand select a batch of ‘surprise’ books in your preferred category. We hope you find this to be a fun, convenient way to discover new items in our library! 

Exam Proctoring

We can provide exam proctoring services, contingent on the availability of staff, facilities, and necessary technology. All communication regarding proctoring is conducted via email at: library@eaglemountain.gov. We are unable to accept telephone or in-person requests. Residents of Eagle Mountain who are in good library standing, are eligible for this service at no charge. Non-residents are eligible for proctoring for a $10 fee.  

Proctoring Availability 

Staff is available to proctor exams Tuesday through Thursday between 10:15 a.m. and 6 p.m. and Friday between 10:15 a.m. and 3 p.m. Exams must be completed and submitted 15 minutes prior to the library closing.   

Submitting Request for Proctoring 

To request an exam proctoring time, email library@eaglemountain.gov with the following information: 

• Your Name  
• School 
• Course Name 
• Exam/Test Name 
• Date & Time requested for proctoring (please include a 1^st, 2^nd & 3^rd choice) 

Requests must be submitted a minimum of 3 business days before your desired exam date and time. Please note that a request for proctoring is not guaranteed until you receive a confirmation email from the library with your scheduled date and time.  

Scheduled Exams 

On the day of your exam, please arrive promptly at the scheduled time. Bring your photo identification (required), your library card (if applicable), and any materials allowed for testing. Students need to verify that the library has received all required information from the school before the day of their scheduled exam.  

Volunteering

Volunteers are always welcome at the library! There are many ways to help, such as shelving books, answering patrons’ questions, preparing crafts for programs, and assisting with events both inside and outside the library. These are just a few examples of how volunteers support the library’s needs.  
Our Digital Navigator Volunteers help train senior citizens in computer skills and internet basics.   

Volunteer Application 

Volunteers need to be 14 years or older. Applicants under 18 need to have a parent/guardian sign their application. We are unable to accept applications for court-ordered community service.

Library Advisory Board Responsibilities 

The Library Advisory Board is made up of individuals who are dedicated to the Eagle Mountain Library and enjoy being an active part of our community. Some responsibilities of the Library Advisory Board include, but are not limited to, the following: 

• To determine the program and needs of the library in relation to the community and to keep abreast of standards and library trends; 
• To determine the purpose of the library, and to adopt written policies to govern the operation and program of the library; 
• To assist in securing funds to carry on the library program; 
• To establish, support, and participate in a planned public relations programs; 
• To assist in the preparation of the annual budget and approve the final document; 
• To know local and State laws and to actively support library legislation in the State and Nation; 
• To establish library policies dealing with book and materials selection; and 
• To attend all board meetings and see that accurate records are kept on file at the library.    

Library Cooperation

North Utah County Library Cooperation 

The cities of American Fork, Pleasant Grove, Lehi, Eagle Mountain, and Highland have agreed to participate in a reciprocal borrowing system that will allow library card holders to check out materials from all five libraries. This is not a county library system; library borrowers are encouraged to search for needed materials at their home library before searching the other libraries’ online catalogs.

Policies and Procedures

Each library will continue to function as it currently does in terms of policies, budget, administration, fees, etc. See below for additional information about utilizing this service:  

-All Patrons must have a valid library card from the assigned ‘home library’ and be in good standing at that library. 

-This card must be presented at the time of borrowing an item.  

-The card entitles the patron to borrow items only – participating in programs is excluded in the agreement. 

-All policies and procedures of the lending library are valid, and the patron must abide by said policies and will be responsible for any incurred charges.  

-All items must be returned to the lending library according to the date due. 

-Requests (Holds) can only be placed at your ‘home’ library. Any requests made to another library will not be honored. The intent of this policy is to allow the card holders of each of the libraries first access to the materials at the library.
