Health Care
Health Insurance
MotivHealth HSA high deductible medical plan is available for you and your legal dependents. Dental and vision plans are also available. Full-time employees are eligible for these benefits starting the first day of the month following their start date (e.g., if you start on Nov. 15, benefits begin on Dec. 1). The City contributes to your HSA account each pay period.
Life Insurance & Accidental Death
Basic insurance is provided at no cost. Coverage includes $50,000 for the employee, $5,000 for the spouse, and $2,500 for eligible children (ages 6 months to 19 years, 25 if a full-time student), and $500 (ages 14 days to 6 months).
Long-term Disability
Long-term disability insurance at 66.67% of salary is provided to all full-time employees, with a 90-day elimination period.

Utah Retirement Systems (URS)
Participation in a URS pension plan is mandatory for most employees. Plans vary based on the hire date, and the City pays all, or part, of the contributions, providing retirement income based on salary, length of service, and contributions. For more info, visit the URS website.
401K & 457 Plan
Eagle Mountain City matches up to 6.2% of an employee’s contribution to a 401(k) or 457 plan approved by the City. Contributions are payroll-deducted before taxes and are not taxable until withdrawn. Balances may be subject to early withdrawal penalties and taxes.

Paid Time-off Schedule
- 144 hrs./yr. for employees less than 2 years into employment (5.54 hrs. per pay period)
- 156 hrs./yr. for employees with 2-5 years of service (6 hrs. per pay period)
- 168 hrs./yr. for employees with 5-10 years of service (6.47 hrs. per pay period)
- 180 hrs./yr. for employees with 10+ years of service (6.93 hrs. per pay period)
Education & Tuition Reimbursement
Full-time employees may qualify for tuition reimbursement up to $2,500 per fiscal year, subject to budget constraints and City Policy.
