Eagle Mountain City Appoints New Planning Commission Member and Alternate
At the May 19, 2026 City Council meeting, Eagle Mountain City officially swore in Chad DeCoursey and Laura Jensen to serve on the Planning Commission.
The Planning Commission plays an important role in shaping the future of Eagle Mountain. The Commission reviews development proposals, considers long-term planning strategies, and evaluates updates to City code to ensure that growth aligns with community values and enhances quality of life for residents.
Planning Commission Appointments
The following appointments were made:
- Chad DeCoursey – One-Year Vacated Term (May 2026 – March 2027)
- Laura Jensen – Three-Year Term Alternate (May 2026 – March 2029)
These appointments address a recent vacancy on the Commission and also update the alternate role.
Meeting Schedule
The Planning Commission meets twice a month:
- Work Session – 5:30 p.m.
Commissioners discuss upcoming projects, code changes, and conceptual development plans. - Policy Session – 6:30 p.m.
Formal actions are taken, decisions are made, and public hearings are held.
Community members are encouraged to attend and participate in the process.
