Starting Monday, May 18, Eagle Mountain City will begin its annual crack seal maintenance project to help extend the life of our roadways.
What Is Crack Sealing?
Crack sealing is a routine roadway maintenance treatment that fills cracks in the pavement to prevent water and debris from getting underneath the surface. This simple but important process helps extend the life of our roads, reduces long-term repair costs, and keeps our streets safer and smoother for everyone.
Nighttime Work
The project will take place at night to minimize impact on daytime traffic. Nighttime work will begin on Monday, May 18, and is expected to last about one week to a week and a half.
Hours: 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM
Roads being treated (in order):
- Pony Express Parkway from Rachel Way to the Meta facility
- Eagle Mountain Boulevard from SR-73 to the east end of the road
- Pony Express Parkway from Porters Crossing Parkway to Saratoga Springs
What Residents Should Expect
While none of these roads will be fully closed, residents should be prepared for the following:
- Temporary single-lane closures on residential streets
- Traffic cones, signs, and clearly marked work areas
- Construction vehicles and workers in the neighborhood
- Minor delays while traveling through work zones
- Brief access delays when work is happening directly in front of your property
Access to Your Home
Access to your home will be maintained at all times. If any temporary delays occur, they will be brief and coordinated by the crew on site.
A Reminder for Drivers
Please use caution when driving through any active work zone. Follow all posted signage, watch for workers and equipment, and remember that flaggers are there to help keep everyone safe.
