Construction work to close lanes on Mountain View Corridor this week

Drivers in Eagle Mountain should prepare for temporary lane restrictions and an overnight closure on Mountain View Corridor (MVC) in Saratoga Springs later this week as crews complete roadway repairs.

According to the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), a single lane on northbound MVC near Dandelion Drive will close on Thursday, Sept. 11, starting as early as 9 a.m. The lane will reopen by 4 p.m. The closure will allow crews to prepare the roadway for asphalt repairs.

More significant impacts are expected over the weekend. Beginning as early as 10 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, all northbound lanes of MVC between Pioneer Crossing and Redwood Road will close. The closure will remain in place until 9 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 14.

During that time, northbound drivers will be detoured to Pioneer Crossing and Redwood Road. Southbound MVC will remain open, and local traffic will continue to have access to Harvest Moon Drive and Harvest Hills Boulevard.

UDOT says the overnight closure will give crews time to complete asphalt repairs on the northbound lanes near Dandelion Drive.

Motorists are advised to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and follow posted detour signs.
