Pony Express Days continues with Demolition Derby and PRCA Rodeo

After a successful week of carnival rides, concerts and fireworks, Pony Express Days is far from over.

Eagle Mountain’s signature summer celebration continues into June with two of its most popular events: the Demolition Derby and the PRCA Rodeo.

On Saturday, June 7, the high-octane Demolition Derby returns to the Pony Express Memorial Park Arena at 7 p.m.

“We’ve worked hard to make sure this year’s show is enjoyable and entertaining from start to finish,” says Pony Express Events President Jared Gray. “Fans and drivers both say this is the best demolition derby in the state.”

Hard hits and rollovers are what make a demolition derby unforgettable. Drivers slam into each other with full force, aiming not just to win but to thrill the crowd. Last year’s derby delivered four rollovers, each one met with loud cheers from the stands.

This event regularly draws large crowds from around the region and is expected to sell out. Attendees are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance.

The following week, from Thursday, June 12 to Saturday, June 14, the Pony Express Days Rodeo takes center stage.

This PRCA-sanctioned rodeo showcases top-tier professional athletes competing in classic events such as bull riding, barrel racing, saddle bronc, and team roping.

Rodeo performances are nightly at 7 p.m., also at the Pony Express Memorial Park Arena.

“I’m super excited to be coming off our third year as best rodeo in our circuit. This sets a high standard and helps me keep a standard of excellence so the rodeo can stay at the top of its game.”

Gizmo the rodeo clown is returning to Eagle Mountain in 2025, bringing his signature humor and high-energy antics back to the arena. A longtime fan favorite, Gizmo adds an extra layer of entertainment to the Pony Express Days Rodeo, keeping the crowd laughing between events and engaging audiences of all ages.
