Library seeks applicants for advisory board vacancy
Eagle Mountain Public Library is seeking a dedicated resident to fill one vacancy on its Library Advisory Board. This board plays a vital role in helping the library meet the needs of the growing community by providing guidance on policies, budget proposals, and long-term planning.
“Our board members are essential to the success of the library,” said Library Director Michele Graves. “We deeply value the perspectives and expertise they bring to the table.”
The Library Advisory Board serves as an advocate for the library, ensuring its programs and services remain relevant and accessible. Board members are appointed to two- or three-year terms, with the option to serve a second consecutive term.
Responsibilities include attending regular meetings, gaining an understanding of library operations, and contributing to discussions on future improvements. While the board does not oversee library operations or staff, members play a crucial role in supporting the library’s mission and strengthening its connection to the community.
“We encourage individuals from diverse backgrounds to apply,” Graves added. “Every board member brings a unique perspective that helps shape the future of our library services.”
