Snow accumulation seen in Cedar Valley

Snow started accumulating in Eagle Mountain Thursday morning, slowing commute times for some residents.

According to the National Weather Service, snowfall accumulations of 1 to 3 centimeters are forecast throughout the day, with temperatures reaching a high of 43°F (6°C) and dipping to a low of 28°F overnight. Eagle Mountain has experienced a mild winter so far in 2024.

Snow mixed with rain is possible during the evening hours, which could result in slippery roads and reduced visibility, according to NWS. Travelers are urged to exercise caution, allow extra time for their journeys, and monitor weather updates for changing conditions.

The National Weather Service advises slowing down, keeping a safe distance from other vehicles, and avoiding unnecessary travel during the storm’s peak.
