Eagle Mountain City Hall, Public Library, and other City Buildings will be closed on July 3–5 in observance of Independence Day. Normal operations and services will resume on Monday, July 6.

This year’s holiday is an especially meaningful one, marking America’s 250th birthday. Even with our offices closed, there’s plenty happening around town to celebrate the milestone close to home.

Things get started on Thursday, July 2 at 7 PM, when the Community Services Board reads the Declaration of Independence at the large pavilion in Cory B. Wride Memorial Park.

Saturday, July 4 is the main event with our America 250 Independence Day Celebration. The Farmers Market runs its usual morning shift and then comes back for a special evening session from 8-10 PM, complete with vendors, food, and a DJ spinning tunes. Little ones can roll through the Kids Patriotic Parade at 8:30 PM, taking a lap around the park on any non-motorized wheels they can dress up in red, white, and blue. The night caps off with an amazing Fireworks Show lighting the sky at 10 PM.

Bring the family, grab a spot early, and celebrate 250 years of independence with your neighbors. Have a safe and happy Independence Day from all of us at the City!
