Open Detonation Season Begins at Tooele Army Depot

April 1, marks the start of the annual open detonation season at Tooele Army Depot, which runs through October 31 each year. During this time, operations are conducted as part of routine safety and disposal procedures.

On April 1, no operations are taking place on the South Range in the Rush Valley. However, activities are underway on the North Range. As a result, residents in the Tooele Valley may notice occasional noise and/or visible smoke.
