What to Expect During Public Comment at the Truth-In-Taxation Public Hearing

Eagle Mountain City will hold a Truth-in-Taxation Public Hearing on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 6 PM in the City Council Chambers, 1650 E. Stagecoach Run.

Residents are encouraged to participate in the public hearing in-person, virtually, or by sharing their thoughts through a Public Comment Form.

Because the Truth-in-Taxation Public Hearing is the only public hearing item on the agenda, residents who wish to speak are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes early to complete a Public Comment Form and submit it to the City Recorder before the meeting begins. Residents may also complete a Public Comment Form online in advance.

When it is your turn to speak, you will be invited to the podium. Each speaker is allowed one opportunity to comment, with comments limited to three minutes. A 30-second warning will be provided before your time expires, and “time” will be announced when the three-minute limit has been reached.

To ensure an orderly meeting and an accurate recording of the proceedings, comments from the audience will not be permitted, as they cannot be captured by the recording system.

To help maintain a respectful and efficient public hearing, signs and applause are not permitted during the meeting.
