Sandpiper Rd. scheduled for maintenance closure on Monday

Sandpiper Rd will be closed for scheduled maintenance on Monday, Jan. 13, beginning at 9:30 a.m.

The closure has been planned to ensure minimal disruption to Monday morning’s drop-off routine at Hidden Hollow Elementary School. However, City officials advise residents that the work is unlikely to be completed by 3:30 p.m., potentially impacting afternoon pick-up traffic. While the maintenance project will extend throughout the week, the closure will only be in place on Monday.

The maintenance project, expected to last 3-4 days, includes relocating the Rocky Mountain Power box from the intersection to the south side of the paved trail. This relocation aims to enhance safety and visibility for both pedestrians and drivers.

A detour will be in place to redirect traffic during the closure on Monday, and residents are encouraged to plan accordingly. Eagle Mountain City reminds the community of the importance of these efforts to maintain aging infrastructure and improve overall safety.
