Safely Dispose of Unwanted Medications in Eagle Mountain

Eagle Mountain residents have a safe, secure, and convenient way to dispose of unwanted medications using the NarcX® medication disposal kiosk.

The blue medication disposal kiosk is located inside Eagle Mountain City Hall, next to the Recorder’s Office and Public Safety Office (Utah County Sheriff’s Office, Eagle Mountain Division). Residents can use the kiosk during City Hall business hours to safely dispose of eligible medications.

What Can Be Dropped Off?

The kiosk accepts:

• Prescription medications
• Schedule II-V controlled substances that are lawfully possessed
• Over-the-counter medications
• Pet medications
• Vitamins
• Pills, tablets, capsules, and liquids

What Cannot Be Dropped Off?

For safety reasons, the following items are not accepted:

• Needles, sharps, and syringes
• Medication bottles, packaging, or dispensers
• Illegal or illicit drugs (Schedule I controlled substances)
• Hazardous materials, such as batteries or aerosol cans
• Trash
• Plastic or glass bottles and vials
• Antacids

How to Use the Medication Disposal Kiosk

Using the kiosk is simple:

1. Open the disposal unit.
2. Pour unwanted pills, tablets, capsules, or liquids directly into the funnel.
3. Close the unit when finished.

Please do not leave medications outside the kiosk. If the unit is locked, return during City Hall business hours when the kiosk is available.
