Eagle Mountain City Chip Seal Maintenance Project

Eagle Mountain City’s annual chip seal project is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 15, 2026, and is expected to be completed by Friday, June 19, 2026.

The following roadways are included in this year’s project: 16000 West, Pony Express Parkway, 4000 North, and Tyson Parkway.

Work hours will be Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

16000 West

Chip seal operations on 16000 West are scheduled for Monday, June 15. This work will require a full road closure and detour from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM while the chip seal is applied.

Pony Express Parkway

Chip seal operations on Pony Express Parkway will begin Monday, June 15, and continue through Tuesday, June 16. A southbound lane closure will be in place during construction. Traffic control measures will maintain one lane of traffic in each direction, and flagging operations will not be required.

4000 North and Tyson Parkway

Chip seal operations on 4000 North and Tyson Parkway are scheduled to begin Tuesday, June 16, and be completed by Wednesday, June 17. To maintain continuous access to the Tyson facility, three separate road closures will be implemented at different times throughout the project.

Following the chip seal application, traffic control will be re-established at various locations as crews return to apply a fog seal to the project areas.

Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, use designated detour routes, and exercise caution when traveling through construction zones.
