Back To School Social
UPDATE: Due to the extreme heat forecast for this weekend, the Back to School Social on Saturday, August 1, has been canceled.
The community clothing drive is still moving forward, and we are continuing to accept donations of gently used school clothing, shoes, and backpacks. The free community clothing swap will now take place during the Food Truck Rally on Thursday, August 13, at Cory B. Wride Memorial Park.
Eagle Mountain City is hosting a Back to School Social on Saturday, August 1 at Cory B. Wride Memorial Park, to help families and students connect with local schools, community partners, and one another before the new school year begins.
The event will take place from 6:00โ8:00 PM and will include school booths, community activities, safety demonstrations, food trucks, and opportunities for families to get involved. Students and families can meet representatives from their schools, learn about programs and activities available during the school year, and connect with community resources in a fun, welcoming environment.
Community activities will include:
- School booths featuring local schools, clubs, athletics, and programs
- Opportunities to meet elementary school crossing guards
- Free community clothing swap
- Police and Fire Department safety activities
- Food trucks and more
Following the Back to School Social, families are invited to stay for a free community dance from 8:00โ9:00 PM.
