Closed Roads for Seal Coat Project Progress
UPDATE (9/22/26): The seal coat projects scheduled for Tuesday, September 22, have been canceled due to weather.

Thursday, October 1

- Bison Drive and Badger Avenue area: Gopher Lane, Antelope Lane, and East Badge Avenue (purple area on map)
- Gambel Oaks Drive area: East Gambel Oaks Drive, White Birch Drive, and Locust Ave (purple area on the map)
- Clarkstone Drive & Mercur Drive area: East Clarkstone Drive and Mercur Drive (purple area on the map)
UPDATE (9/21/26): Due to rainy weather last Friday, September 18, the road closures for some seal coat projects have been rescheduled for this Friday, September 25. Please plan accordingly and use alternate routes during the closure periods.

Stay Informed, Stay Safe
The City’s annual Seal Coat Project is underway, and crews will be working through several neighborhoods over the next two weeks to help extend the life of our roads.
Seal coating protects asphalt from sun, water, and everyday wear, keeping our streets smoother and saving the City money on bigger repairs down the road. To get the job done right, crews need the pavement clear, so we’re asking residents in the affected areas to plan ahead for no on-street parking or driving on their scheduled day.

If your street falls within one of these zones, please move vehicles off the road before the morning of your scheduled date and avoid driving through the area while crews are working. This helps the seal coat cure properly and keeps everyone safe.
A few tips for a smooth process
- Move cars into driveways or garages the night before your street’s scheduled date.
- Watch for temporary signage and cones marking the work zone.
- Freshly sealed asphalt needs time to cure, so please stay off the surface until it’s ready for traffic again.
Why it matters
Seal coating is one of the most cost-effective ways the City maintains its road network, helping prevent cracking and potholes before they start. A little patience now means smoother, longer-lasting streets for the whole neighborhood.
