Each year, Eagle Mountain City issues a survey to licensed businesses in the City to get a beat on what is on the minds of business owners, how Eagle Mountain City can better address immediate and ongoing business needs.

Small Business Development Center
The Small Business Development Center (SBDC), based in Orem as part of Utah Valley University, is a tremendous resource for all businesses. The SBDC offers a range of services, including: Business Planning, Funding Assistance, Franchising and International Trade assistance. You can speak with a coach one on one, attend classes, download templates and materials, and so much more.
Eagle Mountain will also soon be hosting a UVU SBDC expert at the Eagle Mountain Chamber of Commerce offices.

Grants and Loans
You don’t need to risk your life savings for your business goals when there are a wide variety of grants and loans available to small businesses. These grants and loans are typically set up to help cut down the initial startup costs of equipment, products, and services. Additional grants are also available to specific groups such as women, veterans, and more.
Applying for grants can sometimes feel daunting. If that’s the case, you have local resources at the City, the Eagle Mountain Chamber of Commerce, and the UVU SBDC that can help you through the process.

Events
Many small businesses struggle gaining customers locally, particularly home-based businesses. Events are a great way to market your business, and Eagle Mountain City has some fantastic events to help your business be seen.
Eagle Mountain Farmer’s Market
The Eagle Mountain Farmer’s Market takes place every Saturday starting June through September. You can sell more than local produce at the Farmer’s Market. Over 75 vendors attend the Farmer’s Market each week. This popular attraction takes place at Eagle Mountain’s Cory Wride Memorial Park.
ShopFest Utah
ShopFest Utah is a one-day annual small business market event where over 300 small businesses come together to sell their goods and services to thousands of attendees. The event includes hot air balloons, live music, and food trucks. ShopFest Utah is hosted by the Eagle Mountain Chamber of Commerce at Cory Wride Memorial Park and was created specifically to help local small businesses be seen and grow.
City Events
City Events such as the Pony Express Days, Christmas Village, Halloween Town, and others offer opportunities for your business to set up a booth or to market by other means. Eagle Mountain City’s events are award-winning, very well attended, and business-friendly.
