EM Senior Center reminds public of upcoming holiday closure
Both the holiday schedule and the 2026 activities calendar for the Eagle Mountain Senior Center have been released.
The Senior Center will be closed from Dec. 19 through Jan. 6 for the holiday break. Regular operations and activities will resume on Jan 7., welcoming seniors back with a refreshed calendar of community events.
Senior Citizens Advisory Council member Annette Arndt highlighted several upcoming programs designed to encourage social connection, creativity and wellness among Eagle Mountain’s senior residents. Activities returning in the new year include:
- Lunch Bunch – A social meal gathering where seniors can enjoy good food and conversation at restaurants in the local and surrounding area.
- Arts & Crafts – A creative space for hands-on projects including tie-quilting, oil painting and puzzles.
- Senior Citizens’ Exercise Class – A low-impact fitness program to support balance, mobility, and overall health.
- Senior Citizens’ Pinewood Derby – A fun and spirited competition for seniors to build and race their own pinewood cars.
- Bingo – A popular community favorite offering fun prizes and a chance to celebrate the monthly birthdays.
Arndt encouraged seniors to mark their calendars and look forward to another year of engaging activities and community connection. Updated schedules and additional details will be available on the Eagle Mountain City calendar and at the Senior Center once it reopens.
