Redwood Rd. overnight closure could impact EM motorists
Drivers traveling through the Redwood Road and Pioneer Crossing area should plan for overnight lane closures and shifting traffic patterns beginning Friday, Nov. 21.
Crews are scheduled to complete utility work on the north side of Redwood Road between 10:30 p.m. Friday and 4:30 a.m. Saturday. During this period, rolling single-lane closures will be in place. Only one lane will be closed at a time, but the closure will move across Redwood Road as work progresses. Motorists are encouraged to slow down and expect delays.
In addition to the overnight work, westbound lanes on Redwood Road will continue to shift as construction advances. The current traffic shift is in place between Mill Pond Road and 1100 West. A new shift—extending from 1100 West to Riverside Drive—is expected to occur as early as Friday night, pending overnight temperatures.
Pedestrians traveling along Pioneer Crossing should also be aware that the north sidewalk remains closed until further notice. Those needing access should use the sidewalk on the south side of the road.
