RAD courses offer self-defense training for women and kids

The Utah County Sheriff’s Office Eagle Mountain Division is now accepting registrations for its 2025 R.A.D. (Rape Aggression Defense) programs, a nationally recognized series of free safety and self-empowerment classes designed specifically for children and women.

These programs focus on building confidence, increasing awareness, and providing hands-on training in practical self-defense techniques.

Taught by certified instructors, the courses are structured to help participants recognize potential dangers, respond effectively in threatening situations, and develop strategies to enhance their personal safety.

The curriculum includes both verbal and physical defense tactics, with an emphasis on real-world scenarios. The classes are tailored to different age groups, ensuring that each participant receives age-appropriate guidance and instruction.

All classes are free of charge and will be held in Eagle Mountain. Participants are encouraged to register early due to limited availability. To register for any session, please visit the EMSO RAD Registration Forms.
