Trail Head Rd. and Pony Express Pkwy. Intersection Improvements

Road work will begin Thursday, August 20, at the intersection of Trail Head Road and Pony Express Parkway. Crews will start removing the median just south of the intersection.

This work is part of a larger project to construct a traffic signal at the intersection to help improve safety. Additional construction will take place at the Trailhead roundabouts at a later date.

Traffic control devices will be installed along Pony Express Parkway to allow for construction on the median and shoulder. There will be lane closures on Pony Express Parkway from 9 AM to 3 PM. Drivers are encouraged to use caution and follow traffic control through the work area.

Access to businesses will remain open and unobstructed. The traffic control pattern will change throughout the project, but access will not be restricted. More information will be provided before traffic patterns change.

Lane restrictions at the roundabouts are expected between mid-October and late October. Residents will be notified before this work begins.

A full closure of the west roundabout is planned for next year and is expected to last two to three weeks.
