Board Appointments and Achievement Awards at City Council
Several residents and staff members were honored with board appointments and achievement awards.
During the regularly scheduled City Council meeting on March 3, the public witnessed a variety of recognitions for outstanding services performed, career milestones and public service initiation.
David Salazar accepted both the Outstanding Intersection Achievement Award and the Outstanding City Engineer Award. These awards recognize the positive impact of the EM Blvd. & Pony Express Pkwy. traffic signal and his dedicated years of service thus far, respectively. Both awards were given by the Utah Chapter of APWA.
Stormwater Manager Larry Diamond received the Certified Stormwater Manager (CSM) through the American Public Works Association. As of today, Diamond is the only person in the state of Utah who has completed the knowledge exam portion and holds the Certified Stormwater Manager designation.
Several residents were sworn in to participate on the Community Services Board including:
Jay Johnson – One-year Term, April 2026 through March 2027
ShaRee Curtis – Two-year Term, April 2026 through March 2028
Charlotte Ducos – Two-year Term, April 2026 through March 2028
Steve Conger – Three-year Term, April 2026 through March 2029
Jessie Southworth – Three-year Term, April 2026 through March 2029
Additionally, Debra Kimbrough was appointed to the Senior Advisory Board.
