Vote Center returns to Eagle Mountain for Municipal Primary Election
For the first time in several years, Eagle Mountain residents will be able to cast their ballots in person without leaving the city.
Eagle Mountain City has announced the return of a local vote center, which will be open on Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2025, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at The Barn at Overland. This marks a significant step forward in expanding voting access for residents who prefer to vote in person on Election Day.
“Bringing back an in-city vote center has been a priority for us,” said Gina Olsen, Eagle Mountain City Recorder. “We’ve heard from residents who want to vote in person but have found it difficult in the past due to the need to travel outside city limits. This location makes participation more convenient.”
While vote-by-mail remains the most common method for Utah voters, the newly designated vote center gives Eagle Mountain residents more options to make their voices heard. All registered voters will still receive ballots in themail ahead of Election Day.
Completed ballots can be returned via mail or dropped off in official drop boxes. However, voters should note a new state-level change this year: mailed ballots must now be received, not just postmarked, by the County Clerk’s Office by 8 p.m. on Election Day to be counted.
The establishment of the local vote center was made possible through a collaborative effort between Eagle Mountain City’s Recorder’s Office and the Utah County Elections Division, which is responsible for overseeing elections throughout the county.
“We’ve worked closely with Utah County to coordinate logistics, staffing, and equipment for this vote center,” said Olsen. “The Barn at Overland offers a central and accessible location, and we’re hopeful it will provide a positive in-person voting experience for our residents.”
The move comes as part of a broader effort to support voter turnout and accessibility. In recent elections, some residents have expressed frustration at having to travel to Saratoga Springs or other nearby cities to vote in person.
By reintroducing a vote center within Eagle Mountain, city officials hope to encourage more residents to take part in the democratic process, whether by mail or in person.
Voters who choose to vote in person at The Barn at Overland can expect the same safeguards and services available at other county vote centers, including secure ballot handling, trained poll workers and ADA accessibility.
Residents with questions about the upcoming election, voter registration, or ballot deadlines are encouraged to visit the Eagle Mountain City website or contact the Utah County Elections Division for more information.
