Tooele Army Depot to conduct detonation operations Monday

The Tooele Army Depot will conduct testing and demilitarization operations today across multiple ranges, including the North, South, Energetics Test, and Surveillance Test Ranges.

Operations at the Energetics Test and Surveillance Test Ranges are scheduled between approximately 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. Activity at the North and South Ranges will occur between approximately 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

These operations are part of the depot’s routine efforts to safely dispose of expired military munitions. Residents of Eagle Mountain and surrounding communities may hear loud noises during the scheduled timeframes.

The detonation schedule for the South Range began earlier this year and is expected to continue on weekdays through Oct. 31, 2025.
