Snow accumulation expected in Cedar Valley over coming days

Residents should prepare for snow accumulation over the next few days as a winter weather system moves through the area. Light to moderate snowfall is expected, with changing precipitation patterns bringing a mix of rain and sleet at times.

According to forecasts, snow will begin falling Thursday, Feb. 13, with accumulations of 1 to 3 centimeters possible throughout the day. Breezy conditions will accompany the snowfall, with daytime highs reaching 32°F and lows dipping to 29°F.

By Friday, Feb. 14, temperatures will rise slightly, bringing a mix of snow, sleet, and rain in the morning, transitioning to light rain in the afternoon. Little to no snow accumulation is expected, but roads could still become slick. The high for the day will be 42°F, with a low of 27°F.

Saturday, Feb. 15, will see lingering clouds and a chance of additional snow accumulation, with temperatures ranging between 38°F and 27°F.

Drivers are urged to exercise caution, especially in the early morning and evening hours when roads may be icy. Residents should also stay informed of any updates to the forecast, as conditions could shift.
