Pony Express Days Rodeo returns with even better entertainment

Eagle Mountain’s highly anticipated Pony Express Days PRCA Rodeo is set to thrill audiences once again from June 12-14 at the Pony Express Arena.

As part of the City’s annual Pony Express Days celebration, the rodeo has consistently delivered top-tier entertainment and has been recognized as one of the best in the circuit.

This year’s event promises all the excitement and tradition that have made it a local favorite, with tickets now on sale for those eager to experience the action.

For three consecutive years, the Pony Express Days Rodeo has been honored as the best small and medium-sized rodeo, making it one of the premier rodeos in the region. Jared Gray, who organizes the event through Pony Express Events, emphasizes the rodeo’s appeal.

“This rodeo has been voted the best in its class multiple times,” said Gray. “We are excited to bring it back for another great year.”

The 2025 Pony Express Days Rodeo will bring back fan-favorite acts, including rodeo clown Gizmo McCracken, who has not performed at the event in three years. Known for his comedic antics and crowd engagement, McCracken’s return is sure to add a fresh and entertaining element to this year’s festivities.

Attendees can expect a lineup of rodeo events featuring top competitors in bull riding, bronc riding, barrel racing, and more. The action, combined with the western heritage celebrated at the event, creates a one-of-a-kind experience for spectators.

“It’s a cultural thing in the West,” Gray said. “It’s part of our community’s culture and offers wholesome family entertainment. Many people don’t get the chance to experience rural traditions, and this rodeo provides that opportunity.”

Beyond the competition, the rodeo serves as a nostalgic connection to the agricultural roots of the community. As Rich Wood, a member of the Eagle Mountain City Council, noted, the rodeo embodies the values and history of the American West.

“Everything in rodeo ties back to our country’s agricultural history—the cattle, the horses, the bronc riding,” said Wood. “It’s awe-inspiring, patriotic, and speaks to the roots of this country. It’s also a way to bring the community together like nothing else.”

The Pony Express Days Rodeo is also a key stop on the Road to the Gold series, presented by Trails West. As part of this 10-event series in the Wilderness Circuit, the professional cowboys and cowgirls will compete for major winnings and the ultimate prize: a coveted three-horse trailer.

Bull rides and roping events deliver non-stop excitement. The Pony Express Days Rodeo is about community and creating memories in Eagle Mountain.

“It’s one of those things you can go do as a family,” Wood added. “It’s an experience you can’t have anywhere else. Your background is left at the door, and it’s just fun, family entertainment for all.”

The rodeo will take place at 7 p.m. each evening, with gates opening earlier to allow attendees to get settled and enjoy pre-show festivities. With tickets now available, those looking to experience the best of western entertainment are encouraged to secure their seats early.
