Outdoor movie series returns this summer

Eagle Mountain City is inviting residents to grab their blankets and lawn chairs for another season of family-friendly fun with Movie in the Park.

The City’s popular movie series kicks off June 27 and runs through early October, offering five free outdoor movie nights at local parks.

The first three films: Inside Out (June 27), Minecraft (July 18), and The Wild Robot (August 8), will be shown at Silverlake Amphitheater, with each screening beginning at 9 p.m.

On Aug. 15, the movie moves to Cory Wride Memorial Park for a showing of Cars, also starting at 9 p.m.

The series concludes with a fall favorite, Hocus Pocus, on Oct. 4, showing at Cory Wride Memorial Park at the earlier time of 7 p.m. as the days begin to cool and darken sooner.

All movies are open to the public and free to attend. Moviegoers are encouraged to arrive early to find a good spot and enjoy time with friends and neighbors.

The Movie in the Park series is part of Eagle Mountain City’s efforts to provide low-cost, community-centered entertainment for all ages.
