Freddy’s to break ground next week at Ranches Crossing

Construction is set to begin next week on a new Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers in Eagle Mountain, kicking off development at the city’s highly anticipated Ranches Crossing commercial location.

Located on the northeast corner of Ranches Parkway and Pony Express Parkway, the fast-casual restaurant will be the first business to break ground at the new shopping center and will mark Freddy’s eighth location in Utah. The restaurant chain is known for its signature steakburgers, crispy shoestring fries, and indulgent frozen custard.

City Economic Development Director Evan Berrett says Freddy’s is a popular addition to Eagle Mountain.

“This groundbreaking represents the beginning of an exciting chapter for the Ranches Crossing development,” Berrett says.

Ranches Crossing is strategically positioned at the intersection of two of the city’s major arterial roads, making it a natural gathering point for future commercial development.

As part of the project, road improvements will be made to help ensure safe and efficient access to the shopping center for residents coming from all parts of Eagle Mountain.

Berrett notes that Freddy’s arrival signals broader confidence in Eagle Mountain’s retail market.

“We’re seeing a lot of momentum from national and regional brands who are taking a closer look at Eagle Mountain. They see the growth, they see the potential, and now they’re starting to act on it,” he says.

Freddy’s leadership expressed early interest in joining the Eagle Mountain community.

Since first meeting with the City several months ago, the restaurant group has worked steadily toward permitting and site design, with an eye on opening before the end of 2025.

“They came in enthusiastic and ready to move,” says Berrett. “We’re grateful for their investment and excited to welcome them as a new option for our families, professionals and visitors.”

As the first tenant to begin construction at Ranches Crossing, Freddy’s is paving the way for other businesses to follow. The site is master-planned for additional retail and dining options, helping to meet resident demand for more services closer to home.

Freddy’s construction timeline is expected to move quickly. Crews will begin work in the coming days with the goal of completing the project before the end of the year.

Eagle Mountain City plans to share further updates as more tenants are confirmed at Ranches Crossing. For now, Freddy’s serves as a promising sign of what’s on the horizon.
