Farewell gathering scheduled for outgoing CC members, public invited

Eagle Mountain residents will have an opportunity to offer their well-wishes to two long-serving elected officials as they conclude their time in office.

The City will host a farewell open house for Mayor Tom Westmoreland and City Councilmember Donna Burnham on Thursday, Dec. 18, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the Eagle Mountain City Council Chambers. The event is open to the public.

The open house is designed as an informal gathering where community members can stop by and visit.

Burnham and Westmoreland are concluding their terms after years of involvement in Eagle Mountain. The City is holding the open house to recognize that service and provide residents with an accessible way to say goodbye as the community prepares to transition into a new year and welcome new leadership.

Both officials have played roles in guiding major initiatives and community priorities during their tenure.

Residents who wish to attend may stop in at any time during the event window. The Eagle Mountain City Council Chambers are located at 1650 E. Stagecoach Run.

For those unable to attend, the City encourages residents to stay engaged with upcoming meetings and announcements as newly elected officials prepare to take office in January.
