EM Library reminds community of upcoming Noon Year’s Eve party

Families looking to welcome the new year a little early are invited to the Noon Year’s Eve celebration!

The festivities will be Dec. 31 from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. The event is designed especially for children, tweens, and teens who may not be staying up late but still want to ring in the new year with excitement and style.

Assistant Library Director Kristin Allred provided some insight as to how the idea came about.

“I remember how difficult it was to stay up until midnight as a kid, so it’s really nice to have a program that allows kids to celebrate New Year’s Eve with their friends and families while still allowing them the ability to fall asleep when they get tired,” said Allred.

To accommodate different age groups, the celebration will take place in two locations:

The library notes that strollers will not be permitted inside the Council Chambers due to space constraints.

Due to the success of previous years, this will be a ticketed event and due to space limitations, attendance will be capped. Free tickets will be available at the library’s front desk one hour before the program begins. Families are encouraged to arrive early, as tickets are first-come, first-served.

The Noon Year’s Eve celebration aims to provide a lively, family-friendly environment where young residents can enjoy a celebratory countdown. For more information or additional questions, please email the library.
