Eagle Mountain’s Spring Community Clean-Up returns in April

Spring has arrived, and with it comes the opportunity for Eagle Mountain residents to declutter and refresh their homes and yards.

The annual Spring Community Clean-Up will take place from April 16 to April 24 at Cory Wride Memorial Park, providing residents with a convenient way to dispose of unwanted items.

City Communications Manager Tyler Maffitt says the City knows residents look forward to this every year.

“Offering dumpsters allows residents added convenience and provides a great community service,” says Maffitt. “We want folks to take advantage of this while it lasts.”

Residents can access dumpsters at Cory Wride Memorial Park during the following times:

In addition to general waste disposal, electronic waste (e-waste) disposal will be available daily during dumpster hours. A shred truck will also be on-site for secure document disposal on April 19 from 10 a.m. to Noon.

Eagle Mountain City encourages residents to dispose of waste responsibly and follow guidelines regarding acceptable materials. Items such as yard waste, e-waste, and light household waste are welcome.

However, certain items like animal remains, paint, and hazardous materials must be disposed of separately per safety regulations.

Residents are also advised that dumpster hours are subject to change if they reach capacity early, so arriving earlier in the day may be beneficial.

For those with larger items or excess waste, the Intermountain Regional Landfill in Fairfield will operate extended hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., April 18-24. However, the landfill will close early on Saturday, April 20, at 2 p.m. and remain closed on Sunday, April 21.

Eagle Mountain City emphasizes the importance of responsible waste management and encourages residents to take advantage of this opportunity to keep the community clean and beautiful.
