Community prepares for annual Easter Egg Hunt

Eagle Mountain City is set to host its annual Easter Egg Hunt at Cory Wride Memorial Park, marking the first major city event of the year.

Scheduled for the morning of Saturday, April 12, the event will feature thousands of eggs and activities for a wide range of participants.

The Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. sharp, and City officials recommend arriving at least 20 minutes early to ensure a smooth experience. Participants should bring their own baskets.

“This event is something families look forward to every year,” said Dawn Hancock, Eagle Mountain City’s events manager. “We want to make sure everyone has a fun and fair experience, so we’ve structured the hunts to accommodate different age groups and abilities.”

As in previous years, the event will include separate hunts for different age groups, allowing younger children to search in a less competitive environment. An adaptive egg hunt will also be available, taking place on a paved surface to ensure accessibility. Prizes in this area are designed to accommodate a variety of needs.

“This is one of the ways we try to make sure everyone in our community has the opportunity to participate,” Hancock said.

This year’s event will introduce a few new elements. The Easter Bunny will be available for photos, providing a chance for families to capture the moment. Additionally, the City has added a Teen Easter Egg Hunt, which will take place from 8 to 9:30 p.m. in the evening at Cory Wride Park.

“We recognize that older kids sometimes feel left out of these traditions,” Hancock said. “The teen egg hunt is something new we’re trying this year to give them their own space to have fun.”

Food trucks will also be on-site, allowing attendees to grab a meal or snack while enjoying the day’s activities.

The Easter Egg Hunt is one of many events hosted by Eagle Mountain City throughout the year. Residents and visitors are encouraged to attend and engage with the community.

“We’re always looking for ways to make our events better and more inclusive,” Hancock said. “We’re excited to see everyone come out and enjoy the day.”
