City seeks nominations for 2025 Pony Express Days Grand Marshal

Eagle Mountain City is calling on residents to nominate someone who deserves to be recognized as the Grand Marshal for the 2025 Pony Express Days parade.

This honorary role is given to an individual who has made a lasting impact on the community through service, leadership, or dedication to the city.

Pony Express Days is Eagle Mountain’s premier annual festival, celebrating the city’s history and community spirit. The parade, which draws thousands of spectators each year, is an annual tradition.

Dawn Hancock, Eagle Mountain’s events manager, emphasized the importance of selecting a Grand Marshal who truly embodies the values of the community.

“Our Grand Marshal should be someone who represents the best of Eagle Mountain,” said Hancock. “We want to honor an individual who has shown dedication to making our city a better place.”

Residents are encouraged to submit nominations for individuals who have made contributions to Eagle Mountain. Past honorees have included long-time community volunteers, educators, and local leaders who have shaped the city.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for residents to show appreciation for someone who has positively impacted their lives,” Hancock added.

Nominations can be submitted through the City’s website and must include the nominee’s name, a brief explanation of why they deserve the honor, and any relevant background information. A selection will be announced in early May.

The selected Grand Marshal will not only lead the Pony Express Days parade but will also be recognized during various events throughout Pony Express Days. The City encourages residents of all ages to participate in the nomination process and help celebrate the contributions of outstanding community members.

Hancock expressed her excitement about this year’s selection process and the chance to highlight the incredible people who make Eagle Mountain special.

“Our city is full of amazing individuals who contribute in ways big and small,” she said. “We’re looking forward to reading the nominations.”

Pony Express Days will take place the week following Memorial Day and feature a variety of events, including a rodeo, carnival, and fireworks show. The parade, one of the festival’s most anticipated events, will take place on Saturday, May 31, 2025.
