City Council Recognizes Economic Development Achievement
The City Council recognized Abby Ivory, Economic Development Director, on April 7, 2026 for being selected as a recipient of the Robert M. Ady Professional Scholarship from the Site Selectors Guild. This honor highlights Abby’s dedication to advancing economic development and her commitment to bringing innovative opportunities to Eagle Mountain.
The Robert M. Ady Professional Scholarship supports economic development professionals from organizations with limited resources and helps them connect with top site selection consultants, gain industry insights, and expand their professional networks.
According to Michelle Comerford, board chair of the Site Selectors Guild and Industrial & Supply Chain Practice leader at Biggins Lacy Shapiro & Co. (Site Selectors Guild), “The Ady Scholarship reflects the Guild’s commitment to investing in the next generation of economic development leaders. This year’s recipients represent a diverse range of communities and career paths, and each has demonstrated a strong dedication to strengthening their regions and building meaningful relationships with site selection professionals. We’re proud to welcome them to the Guild’s Spring Conference.”
The City Council recognized Abby’s achievement as a reflection of her ongoing efforts to attract new businesses, support local growth, and strengthen Eagle Mountain City’s role in key industries.
