City clarifies potential RAP Tax uses; Rec Center not included
Eagle Mountain City has released a clarification about the proposed Recreation, Arts, and Parks (RAP) Tax that may appear on the November 2025 ballot.
A common misconception is that the RAP Tax would fund a full-scale recreation center. According to City officials, that is not the case. The proposed 0.1% local sales tax—equal to 1¢ per $10 spent—would be used for projects such as trails, parks, splash pads, arts programming, youth sports, and community events.
