Ballots mailed for Nov. Municipal General Election
Eagle Mountain voters will head to the polls on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025, for the Municipal General Election. City officials are reminding residents of key dates, locations and procedures to ensure every ballot is counted.
For those who prefer to vote from home, vote-by-mail ballots were mailed starting Oct. 14, and most residents should have already received theirs. If you have not received a ballot, it’s important to act quickly: the last day to request a replacement ballot is Tuesday, Oct. 28.
Ballots must be received by 8 p.m. on Election Day, either in the drop box located north of City Hall or directly at the Utah County Elections Office. Ballots arriving even a few minutes late will not be counted.
Voters in Utah County do not need to include the last four digits of their driver’s license, state-issued ID, or Social Security number on their ballot envelope for the 2025 Municipal and Local School Board General Election. Despite what printed instructions may indicate, the only requirement is a valid signature on the envelope. Election officials will verify ballots using the signature, ensuring that every properly signed ballot is counted. This change simplifies the voting process and helps prevent delays or issues with ballot verification.
Residents who want to register to vote or update their voter information must do so by Friday, Oct. 24, by 5 p.m. Registration can be completed online through the Utah County Elections Office or in person.
Early voting will be available from Monday, Oct. 27, through Friday, Oct. 31, and on Saturday, Nov. 1, at vote centers throughout Utah County. Early voting provides flexibility for those who cannot make it on Election Day or prefer to avoid potential lines.
On Nov. 4, Election Day, polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. For Eagle Mountain voters, the local vote center is at the Overland Barn. Residents can vote at any Utah County vote center, not just in Eagle Mountain. However, officials stress that all voters ensure their ballots are turned in before the 8 p.m. deadline to be counted.
Once all ballots are received and processed, the results will move to the official canvass.
The General Election Canvass is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 3:30 p.m., immediately prior to the City Council meeting. This formal review ensures the election results are accurate and certified.
