As leaves fall, Bag the Leaf program returns

Eagle Mountain City has announced the return of its Bag the Leaf Program, aimed at helping residents dispose of fall leaves. The program will begin on Wednesday, Oct. 23.

Residents can drop off their leaves at two designated dumpster locations:

Leaf bags will be available for pickup at any City building from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Filled bags, containing leaves only, can be deposited in the dumpsters, which will be accessible from Oct. 27 through Dec. 15, open daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Residents are reminded to refrain from placing other trash or yard waste in the dumpsters.

For those with additional trash or yard waste, Eagle Mountain City offers two free annual dump passes per household, available at City Hall.

This program is intended to prevent localized flooding by keeping leaves out of gutters and storm drains.

Residents with questions or comments can contact the Stormwater Department at Stormwater@EMCity.org or call 801-789-6674.
