American Red Cross to hold holiday blood drive Wednesday
Eagle Mountain City will host the American Red Cross for a community blood drive on Wednesday, Dec. 17.
Residents and City employees are encouraged to donate and help meet critical hospital needs. Red Cross representative Anita Kay explained the significance of this program, “It is important to fill the appointment slots to collect the blood that we have committed to the hospitals.”
The blood drive will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Eagle Mountain City Council Chambers. Organizers have set a goal of collecting 22 units of blood and will have the capacity and staffing to accommodate up to 30 donors throughout the day.
Appointments are required to ensure the Red Cross can meet its commitment to local hospitals. Donors are encouraged to sign up in advance using the provided registration link shared with the community.
The December drive comes at a time when blood supplies are often strained due to the holiday season, making donations especially important.
“Christmas will be here soon. We can provide a great service!” emphasized Kay.
Presenting donors will each receive a $15 Amazon e-gift card. Mark your calendar or set an appointment today.
