American Red Cross Blood Drive held Monday

A community blood drive hosted by the American Red Cross is taking place today, Monday, July 7, at Eagle Mountain City Hall.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at 1650 E. Stagecoach Run.

The goal for the blood drive is to collect 22 units, with capacity to serve up to 42 donors. Sixteen individuals had already signed up ahead of the event, and appointments remain available for those who wish to participate.

Summer months often see a decline in blood donations, though the need remains steady. The Red Cross reports that maintaining a stable supply is critical for hospitals and patients, particularly during holiday periods.

Each presenting donor will receive a pair of “goodr” sunglasses as a token of appreciation.

Walk-ins may be accepted if space and staffing allow. For assistance or questions about the donation process, individuals may contact Red Cross representative Anita Kay at (801) 367-2331.

The blood drive is part of Eagle Mountain City’s ongoing efforts to support community-based health and service initiatives.

Community members, City staff, and others interested in donating can schedule an appointment.
