Eagle Mountain City accepting applications for anticipated City Council vacancy
Eagle Mountain City is preparing to fill an upcoming vacancy on its City Council and is inviting interested residents to participate in the selection process.
An official notice of vacancy will be posted on Jan. 1, 2026. Community members who wish to be considered may submit a letter of interest to the City Recorder’s Office. Submissions will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Jan. 14 and can be delivered either by email at recorder@eaglemountain.gov or in person at 1650 Stagecoach Run.
Applicants are encouraged to include any information they believe will help the City Council become familiar with their background and interest in serving. This may range from a simple statement of interest with the applicant’s name to a more detailed letter accompanied by a résumé. All submitted materials will become part of the public record associated with the appointment process.
The Eagle Mountain City Council will conduct applicant interviews during an open and public meeting on Thursday, Jan. 15 at 5 p.m. Residents are welcome to attend and observe the proceedings as candidates share their qualifications and vision for serving the community. Following the interviews, the Council is expected to deliberate and make a final appointment that same evening.
The selected applicant will join the Council in helping guide policy decisions and represent the interests of Eagle Mountain residents. City leadership encourages those who have a passion for public service, an understanding of community needs and a willingness to contribute to the City’s ongoing growth to consider applying.
