Library provides crafting resources with Creativebug service

The Eagle Mountain Public Library is inviting patrons to unleash their creativity right from home.

Through its subscription to the online service Creativebug, anyone holding a valid Eagle Mountain library card can now access thousands of high-quality arts and crafts instructional videos spanning drawing, sewing, knitting, jewelry making, baking, children’s crafts and more.

The Library is promoting the service as a free benefit for cardholders. Library Director Michele Graves emphasized the value of the offering.

“We’re excited to give our patrons access to a robust artistry-and-crafting resource,” said Graves. “I think our patrons will find that Creativebug opens up so many possibilities.”

The Eagle Mountain Public Library offers free access to Creativebug, which provides instructions on knitting, sewing, paper crafts and jewelry making. Residents can create beautiful, low-cost gifts without stretching their budget.

“We believe creativity is for everyone, and this service certainly levels the playing field by providing expert instruction without cost,” Graves noted.

Creativebug can also be helpful when crafting for holidays, birthdays and special occasions. The service provides step-by-step video tutorials for all skill levels. You’ll need an Eagle Mountain Library card to log in and get started.

“We know that not everyone has the time to attend in-person classes or the budget for private subscriptions,” Graves said. “With this tool, you simply log in using your library card and start learning on your schedule and at your pace.”

The Library page confirms login instructions. Patrons can access the service by visiting the Eagle Mountain Public Library website, clicking the “Featured Resources” or “Digital Resources” section, selecting Creativebug, and then signing in using their library card.

Those who don’t yet have a card are encouraged to stop by the library or apply online to obtain one.
